Aarav Chokhani is a high-school student at the Ascend International School, Mumbai. As someone who is passionate about developmental economics, he seeks to explore how welfare policies can help enhance social outcomes, specifically towards probing questions around accessibility, equality, and long-term well-being.
In addition to attending two seminars on Nutrition and Computer Science at Boston University’s Summer Challenge for high school students in 2024, Aarav also enrolled in the Behavioral Economics course at Johns Hopkins’ Center for Talented Youth. He is a sports enthusiast and actively engages in extracurriculars like writing and editing for his school paper as head of the Sports section, in addition to representing his school in football and basketball. When not busy with academics or training on the field, Aarav plays the drums to satiate his creative instincts.
